Churches Planting Churches, A Special Type of Missions

Partnering with a church plant is one of the most rewarding ministries a church can have. Quite literally, every church can partner in some way with a church plant. The typical established church has one decision for Christ for every 89 people in average attendance per year. The typical church plant has one decision per three people in average annual attendance.

Because church planting is the most effected means of on-going evangelism, it is a ministry that your church cannot afford to ignore. Further, it can be a means of encouragement for your church. Nothing reinvigorates life like a new baby; and that works for churches too.

A church plant provides a missions trip that doesn’t need a passport. All the Spiritual elements and often the physical elements of a short-term missions trip can be found in a church plant. The only difference is that this missions element will in time, give more to missions than you gave to the plant.

Are you up for the adventure of a lifetime, plant a church! We can help.

Want to Partner with a Plant?

Method 1: Giving

A giving partner is kind of like being a favorite rich uncle. Because church planters need to raise a great deal of funds quickly for a strong launch and then budget supplement for 3-5 years, they need a special kind of plant partner that can give generously.

Method 2: Sponsoring

A sponsor is somewhat like a grandparent. A church plant can have one sponsor or ten. The sponsoring partner celebrates the victories of the plant and advises and encourages in the difficult times. They give generously and have a special pride for their grandchild; the plant.

Method 3: Parenting

The parenting partner is a lot like it sounds; a parent. The parent church provides the finances, people, and sometimes even the staff necessary for the strongest possible launch of the church. The parent shares its DNA with the plant; its visions, values, and personality. But just like any parent and child, they are different. This is the closest and most rewarding and therefore requires the a very healthy parent church.

Method 4: Satellite

The satellite partner is kind of like a younger sibling plant. You are different, but very much the same, and you share a lot. A planting church shares vision, values, administration, and often staff of the church plant on an on-going basis. With one budget and mission, the Satellite churches can do more together than they could separately. They closeness of this model requires good definitions of resource allocation and how and when differences will be celebrated and when they won’t.
